SLP support services has been set up to provide practical & emotional support and advice to parents and families from birth through to the challenges of adolescence.

Although health professionals are able to offer advice, unfortunately due to restrictions on time and resources they are not in a position to spend many hours within the family home offering hands on time and support. There are many childcare options available to families such as au pairs, nannies, childminders and private day nurseries. However, many families would just like an extra pair of hands on an adhoc basis or support for a short period to enable routines to be established.

SLP Support services offer 1:1 support and advice within the family home on a range of parental concerns regarding their child’s wellbeing.

SLP Support Services aim to support young people to overcome any difficulties they are facing in life and encourage them to find the positives in their situation and identify their skills and abilities to make the most of life’s opportunities – despite the challenges.

Parenting Support & Childcare

Looking after a baby is a mixture of tremendous pleasure and pure hard work. You will experience wonderful moments as you get to know your baby, alongside stressful times when your baby is distressed or unsettled.

Adolescent Mental Health

SLP Support services will come to your family home to work with your child. From experience I have found young people reluctant to meet with professionals and often feel most comfortable in their home environment.

Fitness and Wellbeing

I have discovered the huge impact that self-care and exercise have had on my mental health and feel so much more positive when I am looking after myself.
